TIPS

  • The game should run well in browser, but audio balance will be notably worse than in the downloadable desktop build.
  • Headphones recommended for the best experience.
  • Overall, this game is intended to provide more of a sandbox than a challenge.
  • Towers can be sold for their full value! Don't be afraid to swap stuff around and experiment, especially with melody instruments.
  • Double time only partially affects drum and bass towers, so be aware that using it may make the current wave harder.
  • It may be difficult to handle Yellow ghosts without good Bass placement.
  • Purple and Pink ghosts are immune to the bass tower's freeze aura.
  • You might find it optimal to cluster towers together, but the band might sound better with a little more elbow room!
  • You can press the Spacebar to activate the START and DOUBLE TIME buttons.

MEET THE JAM RATS

Keyes, the Melody Rat

  • Fires music at the first enemy that enters their range
    • Increase the number of notes in each tower's melody by upgrading its range.

Beetz, the Drum Rat

  • Fires music in an area on a regular timer
    • Level up the drum loop by adding and upgrading towers of this type.

Pluck, the Bass Rat

  • Freezes enemies in its aura on a regular timer
    • Level up the bass loop by adding and upgrading towers of this type.

Scratch, the DJ Rat

  • Fires a large orb of music at the first enemy that enters their range
    • Upgrades have no effect on the music you make, other than rate of fire impacting the speed at which notes are playing.

LaLa, the FrontRat

  • Behaves like a Melody tower, but twice as fast.
    • Upgrades have no effect on the music you make, other than rate of fire impacting the speed at which notes are playing.

BUGS I'M AWARE OF

  1. In my experience, the game runs poorly in google chrome but well on firefox.
  2. Sound levels may not be balanced in the web build.
  3. Sometimes the drums will stutter and fire multiple times at once.
  4. There's an exploit that can make the game much easier, and I'm not going to fix it or tell you what it is (for now, at least). Maybe the denizens of the red planet's prison know more.
